The Computer Networking Lab (http://cnl.cse.unr.edu <http://cnl.cse.unr.edu/>) at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University of Nevada, Reno is looking for self-motivated full-time Ph.D. students. The selected candidate will perform cutting-edge research in wireless systems and network management areas as part of NSF or DoD-funded projects. The expected start date is no later than August 2015. An ideal candidate will have enthusiasm and passion for performing quality graduate work as well as patience to tackle academically challenging problems. The CSE department has been continually growing, and current has about 500 undergrad, 40 MS and 40 PhD students. The department has 20 faculty members, 16 of which are tenure or tenure-track. The size of the faculty is expected to reach 23 next year. The department is very active in research and continually receives external grants to fund research assistantships. The department's annual research expenditure has surpassed $2M.
