[beasiswa] [INFO] PhD position in DB & KDD at University of Tours, Blois, France

The DB & NLP group of the CS lab. of the University of Tours, France, invites applications for a fully-funded 3-year PhD position in the area of data warehousing, data mining, analytics and exploratory search, starting in September 2014 in the nice city of Blois (http://en.blois.fr/) located in the Unesco World Heritage area of the "Loire valley". The research area is that of interactive exploratory analysis of huge amounts of data and research activities will include the empirical study, modeling and benchmarking of exploratory analyses. Experimental validation will be carried out in the context of a regional project aiming at the interactive analysis of open data, to study the energy vulnerability of households and territories. Applicants should have a M.Sc. in computer science and possess a very good knowledge of BI (Business Intelligence) related theory and technics (data warehousing, OLAP, data mining, information retrieval), user-centric approaches (recommendation, personalization) and development. Experience with open data will be a plus. Good proficiency in English is mandatory. French language skills are desirable but not mandatory. The monthly gross salary is 1685.43 Euro. Dear Rahma

Saya pernah mengikuti pembekalan sebelum keberangkatan untuk sekolah ke luar negeri dari DIKTI. Passport biru itu biasanya diurus bersamaan dengan surat dari sekretariat Negara dan ijin exit-permit dari Kemenlu. Nah, dari informasi yang saya pahami, dokumen ini diperlukan untuk penyetaraan ijazah ketika kita pulang ke Tanah air saat studi sudah selesai.

Tanpa dokumen tersebut katanya masih bisa diurus penyetaraan ijazah, tetapi memerlukan waktu yang lama dan proses yang panjang.

Meskipun yang saya tahu, pada saat kita berada di luar negeri, tidak ada perbedaan perlakuan dari pihak luar antara pemegang passport biru dan passport hijau.

Saran saya: kalau memang pada akhirnya Mba Rahma harus melakukan penyetaraan ijazah, lebih baik diurus saja. Daripada Mba Rahma repot di kemudian hari.

Hallo teman2....

Saya rencana akhir mei akan ke Belanda untuk S3, sy bawa serta keluarga, kira2 ada yg tau ga ya ttg urus health insurance untu keluarga, krn health insurance untuk saya diurus univ nya.
Trus apakah ada yg tau juga ttg bgmn mencari housing disana, mengingat sy akan tinggal lama di Nijmegen.
Lalu untuk persyaratan visa, apakah ada yg bisa bantu mengenai dokumen apa saja yg dibutuhkan dan perlu di translate atau di legalisir apa tdk ya.

Selamat anda sudah terpilih sbg pemerima beasiswa Fulbright non-dikti. Perjuangan baru akan dimulai.

Tentang paspor biru, coba pelajari persyaratan penyetaraan ijasah luar negeri dari web dikti sbb

Disitu jelas bhw bagi PNS, yang diperlukan adalah surat ijin tugas belajar yg dikeluarkan oleh setneg. Tidak disebutkan secara eksplisit bahwa PNS diharuskan munggunakan paspor biru, tapi disebutkan di peraturan yang mengatur tugas belajar (silakan ditelusuri sendiri lebih lanjut).

Paspor biru sendiri, bisa jadi merupakan "produk tambahan" dari pengurusan surat ijin tugas belajar karena paspor bitu dikeluarkan oleh DEPLU SETELAH surat ijin tugas belajar dari setneg siap. Selain itu, Aminef maupun keimigrasian US tidak mempermasalahkan jenis paspor (antara biru dan hijau).

Pengalaman menunjukkan, paspor biru bisa menjadi sumber masalah jika seseorang tidak punya paspor hijau dan masa berlaku paspor biru habis, krn paspor biru hanya bisa dikeluarkan di Jakarta. Rasanya terlalu memberatkan bila kita harus kembali ke Indonesia hanya untuk mengurus paspor dalam situtasi seperti ini (belum lagi bila keluarga ikut selama studi). Kopertis 12 punya web yg lengkap dan berisi mekanisme pengurusan dokumen tugas belajar ini. Silakan ditelusuri lebih lanjut.

Saya seorang PNS kemenag dan Alhamdulillah tahun ini terpilih menjadi Fulbright candidate. Insya Allah Saya akan berangkat ke Albuquerque, New Mexico utk studi Ph.D. Saya ingin bertanya mengenai perlu tidaknya bagi saya untuk mengurus paspor biru. Aminef sendiri membebaskan saya memilih menggunakan paspor hijau atau biru karena program Fulbright yg saya apply bukan yg 'Dikti-funded'. Saya pribadi sebenarnya lebih memilih menggunakan paspor hijau, namun saya khawatir akan adanya permasalahan ketika saya mengurus penyetaraan ijazah setelah selesai studi. Adakah teman2 yg bisa berbagi pengalaman dan saran berkaitan dgn masalah tsb. Terima kasih.

KAlau mendapat beasiswa DAAD, tidak perlu deposit 8040 EUR untuk mengurus visa.

The fellowship will last for a period of 2 years with the possibility of a 1 year extension of employment beyond the project life span. The position is available immediately.

Project Description

„Adaptive Brain Computations" is an EU funded consortial project investigating adaptive brain processes during motor and sensory learning and during disease related compensation of functionality. The consortium consists of 8 European academic and industrial partner organizations.The project is embedded within the EU "International Training Network" (ITN) concept and has a strong focus on network activities and broad neuroscience training for the project fellows, with exciting possibilities for international travel and extended secondment activities at world leading academic partner organizations. BlindSight Contribution

BlindSight GmbH is a small German enterprise specializing in biosignal/biomedical consulting and in the development and dissemination of methods and algorithms related to EEG/ExG analysis with a special focus on EEG/MR artifact detection and correction. BlindSight's contribution to project ABC is centered around the application of EEG/fMRI and consists of various activities ranging from conducting empirical EEG/fMRI studies to the development of an automatic "best use" EEG/fMRI analytical and artifact correction toolbox based on Matlab/EEGLAB.

Eligibility Criteria

Due to its nature as an EU FP7 and International Training Network project, applications for the position offered are subject to the following restrictions imposed by the EU:

• Applicants must not be German nationals, nor must they have lived in Germany for more than 10 months within the last 36 months.

• Applicants are equally welcome from EU citizens as well as from non-EU citizens.

• Applicants must be within the first 4 years of their scientific career, starting with the first degree that satisfies german national eligibility criteria for entering into a PhD degree program/employment.

• Applicants must not have completed a PhD degree at the time of employment. Partial or prefinal completion of a PhD degree/course is permissible.

Job Description

The fellow will perform EEG and EEG/fMRI related activities within project ABC:

• Co-conduct studies in healthy and clinical populations and involving EEG and EEG/fMRI methodology together with our partners (primarily University of Oldenburg, Debener lab and University of Cambridge, Kourtzi lab).

• Perform artifact correction and data analyses on the EEG/fMRI data collected. Participate in the publication of related study results in peer review journals.

• Help create an online "EEG/fMRI Learning Toolbox" with reference data and reference algorithm implementation as well as automated „EEG/fMRI Analytical Toolbox", both as Matlab/EEGLAB.

Required Qualifications

The successful applicant should have the following qualifications:

• A degree (Diploma, Master or equivalent) in a course of studies such as Neurosciences, Biological/Physiological Psychology, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline such as Computer or Information Sciences.

• Own theoretical and practical experience with EEG and MR, separately or in combination.

• Interest in and a well founded understanding of the analytical methods involved in EEG/MR correction and analysis.

• Good knowledge of EEG analysis methods, preferably with EEGLAB and/or BrainVision Analyzer Professional.

• Proficiency with Matlab and preferably, also with C# and/or Python.

• The ability to work independently and efficiently.

• Proficiency in English. Knowledge of German is not required, but obviously welcome.
