ONE POSTDOCTORAL POSITION AT UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA
We are looking for a postdoctoral research fellow, interested in the mechanisms of mutations caused by endogenous and exogenous reactive agents. We will study molecular mechanisms of DNA damage response and mutagenesis in a series of DNA repair gene knockout DT40 cells using a newly developed mutation assay. The appropriate candidate should have a recent Ph.D., with strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics. The applicant should have had experience in cell culture, plasmid construction/characterization, PCR, and DNA sequencing analysis. The position is open as of April 1, 2011 for a one-year initial period, with possible renewal for up to an additional two years.
