A two years postdoctoral position is available in the group of Francois Rassendren
at the Institute Functional Genomics in
Our group is interested in the involvement of P2X purinergic receptors in
inflammation at cellular and integrated levels.
Our current project aims at deciphering intracellular molecular events downstream
of P2X receptors, leading to the activation of inflammatory pathways. Through a
proteomic approach, we plan to identify the signaling complex associated with P2X
receptors in immune cells that are involved in the activation of intracellular
pathways leading to the release of pro-inflammatory mediators.
The successful applicant should have a PhD degree, or being about to finish a PhD
thesis and have strong backgrounds in biochemistry, particularly proteomics,
molecular and cellular biology. Preference will be given to applicants with previous
experience in membrane protein biochemistry and primary cell culture. Prior
knowledge in cellular immunology, lentiviral-mediated gene transfer, microscopy
and imaging is a plus.
