POSTDOCTORAL POSITION in MACHINE LEARNING
We are seeking a post doc to join the Translational Science Institute
at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. The postdoc will work on ML problems that arise in
Medical Informatics problems. These include methods for
identifying tumors in MRI scans of various resolutions, identifying sub-groups
of patients who are at high risk for cardio-vascular issues, designing algorithms that
scale to a large, highly-structured, longitudinal data. Candidates with strong background in one of
graphical models, relational models, reinforcement learning etc. are encouraged to apply.
The post-doc is anticipated to start from June 1, 2011(negotiable).
Applicants must have (or expect to complete) a Ph.D. in computer
science, applied statistics, or related areas before the
